A passion for education and cycling
Cycling has its roots in Dayton - we want to continue that tradition while giving the community a new biking experience |
When Mike decided to take a break from teaching in 2002 and move to Hawaii, he had no idea how his life would change. While in Hawaii, he managed bicycle shops and worked with Team Jet triathlon training to help cyclists improve their skills on and off the road.
Since that time, he has moved back to the Dayton area and has spent his days as an award-winning educator, nights as a musician, and weekends as a cyclist. He has traveled thousands of miles with his bike, ridden hundreds of trails from Canada to Florida, and advocated for safe cycling all along the way.
Dayton deserves a place where enthusiasts can ride, no matter the weather. Kids deserve a safe place to ride where they can increase their cycling skills without the worry of automobile traffic or crowded bike paths. Mike's Indoor Bike Park provides these things and more while working to bring the cycling community together and bring new life into Dayton's downtown area.
